Unique Opportunity Alert! These units are specifically designed for individuals and families who want to live in harmony with nature.
Welcome to Reveskogen
Reveskogen is located in Ål municipality in Hallingdal, right in the heart of southern Norway. The area is close to Sundre, a village with schools, shops, and other services. You’ll find Reveskogen on a sunny hillside, four kilometers from the village center.
Here, you can step outside, strap on your skis, and head straight up to the mountain. After dinner, for instance. You can leave your bike muddy and unlocked by the house, ready for thrilling rides down winding forest trails and hidden gravel paths. Or you can sit at your doorstep with a cup of coffee, listening to the whisper of the treetops, the birds singing, and the river’s gentle gurgling. It’s a place to let your mind wander and feel your pulse slow down.

The Concept: Module + Greenhouse
The housing concept for Reveskogen is straightforward: You combine a wooden house of your chosen size with a greenhouse of your chosen size.
The solid wood homes are built in rows to maximize energy efficiency and are raised on stilts to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment. This way, there's no need for extensive tree cutting or blasting on the plot — it's simply better for mother nature. Reveskogen is being built in harmony with the forest; trees and the surrounding landscape will be preserved as untouched as possible.
The homes and greenhouses come in four different size
Micro: 23 sqm with one bedroom.
Mini: 34 sqm with one to two bedrooms.
Medium: 68 sqm with two bedrooms.
Large: 89 sqm with three bedrooms.
Greenhouses are available in sizes mini, medium, and large, allowing you to mix and match house and greenhouse combinations to suit your needs.
The "longhouses" in Reveskogen are designed primarily for energy efficiency. Shared outer walls mean better insulation and reduced heating needs. By the way, longhouses are a traditional Norwegian housing style dating back to Viking times.

Growing and Foraging
Not only can you grow your own produce in your greenhouse, but within walking distance is Ål Market Garden, where you can become a shareholder and cultivate your own vegetables. In the forest surrounding the community, you can forage berries, herbs and mushrooms. There are plenty of opportunities for super healthy, locally sourced, affordable — or flat out free — food.

Join in Creating a Strong Community
Those who choose to live in Reveskogen will have the chance to help further develop the project. From day one, you can be involved in shaping what the smallholding community will include and how it can benefit the residents and the people of Ål.

Social sustainability is key in Reveskogen, with a goal of fostering a living environment based on sharing and community. This includes shared spaces, car-sharing, and a communal sauna. At the same time, everyone will have their own private zones where they can retreat when needed. There's no pressure to be social, even though you're living in a communal setting.
At the entrance to Reveskogen, there is a well-preserved tool shed with great potential to become the neighborhood’s shared space. This building could serve many purposes, such as a community center, woodworking workshop, brewing house with a large kitchen, event venue, stage, guest apartment, bakery, sauna, or local store. The only limit is your imagination, and all residents will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and make the most of this space.
The Architects: KINICO

Kine Jæger-Larasse and Nicolai Larasse make up KINICO Architects. Based in Oslo, Stockholm, and Ål, their vision is to create spaces that challenge us to be more playful in our relationship with our surroundings. Their goal is to design inviting environments that foster a connection between nature and culture. Both outdoors and indoors.
In their concept sketches for Reveskogen, KINICO has focused particularly on designing small homes that maximize space efficiency and minimize energy consumption.
-These homes are designed for those who want a simpler lifestyle with a lower environmental impact, architect Kine Jæger-Larasse explains.
