Eikefjord

If you blink twice on the drive between the cities of Førde and Florø, you’ll miss the little detour road to Eikefjord. But this little village is a real cutie, with a sandy beach by the fjord and idyllic gardens. And a kindergarden that kids will absolutely love!

Let’s start with the kindergarden. It has large natural areas, a tiny little wooden brigde over a tiny little river. A green house, a herb garden, strawberries and of course all the usual playground equipments like swings and slides. Like the rest of Eikefjord, it overlooks the landscape of mountains and the fjord – called Eikefjorden, naturally. Close by is the beach, a place that is popular for both kids and adults in the summertime.

For fishing enthusiasts, the "Kalveskinnshavet" part of the inner fjord offers excellent fishing grounds. Alternatively, if you prefer exploring the mountains, numerous trails await your discovery.
